Forms
Useful forms right now
Here you will find useful forms for the current stage of the exam cycle, and a library of other forms you might need.
Access Arrangements
Access arrangements allow candidates/learners to show what they know and do without changing the integrity or the demands of the assessment, for example by using a reader or scribe. Access arrangements are approved before an examination or assessment and they allow candidates/learners with special educational needs, disabilities or temporary injuries to access the assessment.
UK
Access Arrangements Online
UK centres should use our online tool to apply for access arrangements, this is accessible through Edexcel Online
International
Form 1 - Medical Issues
International centres currently don't have access to the online tool so JCQ Form 1 should be used for any Access Arrangements that relate to medical issues.
Form 8 - Learning Difficulties
International centres currently don't have access to the online tool so JCQ Form 1 should be used for any Access Arrangements that relate to learning difficulties
Forms 1 & 8 should be returned with supporting evidence to uk.special.requirements@pearson.com only, please don't copy in other teams as these forms contain sensitive information.
Cover Sheets
Form 4 - Word Processor Cover Sheet
If one of your candidates needs to use a word processor to complete their exam you don't need to get approval from us, just attach this cover sheet to their script with a treasury tag before posting.
Please also ensure the word processor conforms to JCQ guidelines outlined in the Access Arrangements & Reasonable Adjustments document.
Form 2 - Scribe Cover Sheet
A scribe must only be used where a candidate is not sufficiently competent or confident in using a word processor.
UK centres should use the Access Arrangements Online tool to apply for this.
International centres should attach Form 2 to the candidates script before posting.
Please make sure you have read the JCQ guidelines for using a scribe, this can be found in the Access Arrangements & Reasonable Adjustments document.
Special Consideration
A candidate's examination performance can sometimes be affected by circumstances out of their control. Special consideration is a post-examination adjustment that compensates candidates who were suffering from a temporary illness or condition or who were otherwise disadvantaged at the time of the examination.
